About this race
The Vale of York Half Marathon, the fast, flat, PB-loving half marathon in aid of Sue Ryder will be back for its 8th year in 2022.
The race starts and finishes just outside Wistow, and runs 13.1 flat miles on scenic closed roads south of York and north of Selby.
For the novice runner this is still the perfect introduction to a longer distance. For the more seasoned racer it remains a genuine PB opportunity. To address the environmental impact of our races, we are asking you to choose whether you wish to buy a finisher's technical t-shirt and to opt in or out of the finisher's medal. If you opt out of the finisher's medal we'll donate £2 to our charity partner Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice.
