About this race
The Pudding Race is a landmark event in the running calendar of South Wales, occurring as it does on the 1st, 2nd or 3rd Sunday in December, depending on tide time tables, and attracts a faithful following, averaging in recent years over 700 entrants, ages 18 to 75. Due to the remote nature and terrain of the course we do state 18+ only and the entry system checks this when date of births are entered.
The event start by a race up the ‘Big Dipper’ sand dune, the 2nd biggest sand dune in Europe, with prizes for the first male and female to reach the summit, subject to them completing the rest of the race.
