To start 2023, Peninsula Track Club presents the New Year's Day 2023 5K - Runner & Walker category available. The course is run through the scenic Newport News Park and is considered fast and nearly flat. Runners, walkers, and strollers are welcome. York High School Cross-country / Track & Field will be the event coordinator and volunteers. Proceeds will assist with YHS XC/TF equipment, uniforms, and expenses associated with their events.Â

January 1, 2023:
9:15 - 10:15Â am BIB & shirt pick up at Newport News Park, picnic shelters 19 & 20, across the street from the Ranger's Station
10:30 RACE START: On Constitution Way in front of the Ranger's Station headed toward Jefferson Ave.
~11:30 am AWARDS:Â -- Awards for the top three in each age group.
ONLINE REGISTRATION WILL CLOSE AT NOON ON DECEMBER 31, 2022.Â
RACE DAY REGISTRATION WILL OPEN AT 9:15 am, JANUARY 1, 2023. Race day resgirstgiaon is $50 cash or $45 if paid via Runsignup which will open back up at 9:15 am on race day. See Thomas Tate for race day sign up at BIB pick up. There will be a sign and a table for race day sign up, race day cost is $50 cash or check.
