8th Annual Resolution 5K and 1-Mile Run 8th Annual Resolution 5K (Competitive Walkers Only)

START THE YEAR OFF RIGHT!

Join Us for our New Year's Day RESOLUTION 5K and 1 mile run.

at the BEACH -24th Street Park, Virginia Beach (1 mile 9:15 - 5k 10:00 AM)

 

 

COURSE: This is a 1 mile and 5k out-and-back course on the boardwalk starting at 24th street with the turnaround point at 17th street for the mile and  2nd street for the 5k.  Both races finish back at 24th street.

FLUIDS AND FOOD: There will be 1 aid station with water at the 5k turnaround point

AMENITIES & POST-RACE. All registered runners for the 5k will receive a custom Tidewater Striders Towel.  Mile runners will receive a custom sport bottle.  Onsite hospitality & refreshments.

PACKET PICKUPs:

EARLY Packet Pickup will be at Running Etc. in Virginia Beach (1940 Laskin Rd) on Saturday December 31st at 1pm to 3pm.

Packet pickup will be from 8:00 to 9:45 on Race Day at the 24th Street Park Stage.

TIME LIMITS: The 5k race starts at 10 AM and will close at Noon.  Walkers may arrange an early start or self-time after 10:00am

POST RACE PARTY:  Murphy's Irish Pub 11am (2914 Pacific Ave, Virginia Beach, VA 23451)

AWARDS:

5K Race: Top 3 OVERALL Male and Female, Top 3 MASTERS Male and Female,  and Top 3 Male and Female in age groups (12 & Under, 13 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, 70+ will receive awards! Top 3 Walkers Male and Female will also receive awards.

1 Mile: Top 3 OVERAL Male and Female, Top 3 Male and Female in age groups (6 & Under, 7 to 9, 10 to 12, 13 & Over) will receive awards.

REGISTRATION:  Registration will be open until  8:45am Race Day.

STRIDER PLUS/LEGACY RUNNERS: Discount automatically applied at checkout thru Race Day.

CLUB MEMBERSHIP DISCOUNTS: A Club membership discount of $5.00 is available up thru Race Day. Discounts are automatically applied on the payment page during registration. You should use the account you used to register for the club to apply for this discount. We will also attempt to match on name/date of birth.

Paper entry forms not available.
