Lake Of The Woods 5k & 50K 5k Trail Run

We are so excited to have you at the 2nd Annual Lake Of The Woods 5k & 50K! 

The race will begin at 7:50am (5k) & 8am (50k) on Saturday February 18th, located at the Lake Of The Woods Camp Grounds (3939 Swartzel Rd Farmersville, Ohio 45325). 

Runners will line up outside of the clubhouse/main aid station area near the lake, and take off on a 5k looped course. Runners participating in the 5k will stop after one loop and runners participating in the 50k will go out for 10 loops. An award ceremony for each running event will be held as the majority of runners finish their respective races. 

The course loops through the woods and around the lake. The trails are wide and very passable. The course does feature hills and a creek crossing (Not deep). Map and course video coming soon.

The campground features a clubhouse as our ‘warm up room’ and an outdoor shelter that will serve as the main aid station. Other race features include a large bonfire area for outdoor warm ups, 2 on course aid stations, heated bathrooms and shower area, and vegetable soup served all day at the main aid station. 

5k Registration:
-Early bird $20 (deadline 11/28/22)
-$30 (11/28/22 through 2/18/23)

50k Registration:
-Early bird $50 (deadline 11/28/22)
-$65 (11/28/22 through 2/18/23)

Official race sweatshirts will be $25 and will be available for purchase up until January 31st!

DETAILS

-Packet pick up begins at 6:30AM 

-5k begins at 7:50AM (10 minutes before 50k start)

-50k begins at 8AM

-50k ends at 6pm (10 hour cutoff) 

-The official race sweatshirt ‘sign up by’ deadline is January 31st!

-Indoor Bathrooms are located near the main aid station shelter

-Two aid stations will be on the course.

-This race is chip timed so remember to fasten the chip to your shoe laces once you pick up your packet or else you will not be timed!

-Parking can be located at the campground 

-This event is rain or shine (or snow)

We are so excited for year two at LOW50k! We expect amazing finishes, tough trails, and maybe even a Bigfoot sighting or two....
