The 15th Annual Dolphin Dash is a family friendly 5k and 1 Mile fun run officiated by the Bradenton Runners Club that starts and ends at Anna Maria Elementary School on beautiful Anna Maria Island. It's a flat & fast out & back course through residential Holmes Beach. All proceeds from the race benefit the Anna Maria Elementary PTO.  In past years, this race has provided improvements such as a new stage in the auditorium for the school plays, overhead projectors in the classrooms, new cafe tables for the kids to eat lunch, new benches in the pick up line and expansion of the estuary to the whole school.  The featured design on the T-shirt is an Anna Maria Elementary student selected from an art contest led by Mr. Wooten, the Art Teacher.  In addition, this year there has been a strong emphasis on earning sponsorships from island businesses to gain attention to the local community that has been affected by the Red Tide.  THANK YOU for your generosity and support of the students of Anna Maria Elementary!!  

IMPORTANT:  All pre-registration must be done online.  There is no mail-in or in-person pre-registration.

Race day registration for the 5K and  1 Mile will be at the start/finish area. Registration for 5K closes at 7:45 a.m. and you may pay with cash, check, or credit card. Registration for 1 Mile will remain open until 8:45 a.m. however credit cards can only be accepted until 7:45 a.m. After 7:45 a.m. you must pay with cash or check only. Thank you.

  • Female and male overall, masters 40+, grand masters 50+, senior grand masters 60+, and veteran grand masters 70+
  • Top 3 in the following age groups:  9 & under, 10-12, 13-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+
  • There are no finisher medals
