Frostbite Footrace 2.5K

The Frostbite Footrace offers two opportunities to have fun: The Frostbite Footrace and Fun Run! Open to all ages and athletic abilities, races begin at 9:30 a.m. the first Saturday of Rondy.  Finish line timing, results and registration supported by Skinny Raven Sports.

The route begins at the 5th Avenue Skywalk (between the Egan Center and the Performing Arts Center) and finishes near 6th Avenue and G Streets. Footrace (5K) is 2 laps of the course; Fun Run (2.5) is 1 lap of the course. Time Limit: One hour. Course closed 10:30 a.m.   

Bib and Mask Pick-up - participants may register and pick up race packets: 

• Thursday, February 23rd from 3:30 - 7:00 p.m. at Glacier BrewHouse (737 W 5th Ave #110)
  
  
• Friday, February 24th from 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm at Skinny Raven Dimond (2727 W Dimond Blvd, Anchorage, AK 99502)
  
  
• Race morning, February 25th from 7:30 - 9:00 a.m. at Egan Center (555 W 5th Ave.)

Awards will be made to overall finishers in the Fun Run and to the top three male & female finishers in the following age categories in the 5K race:

• 20 - 24
• 25 - 29
• 30 - 34
• 35 - 39
• 40 - 44
• 45 - 49
• 50 - 54
• 55 - 59
• 60 - 64
• 65 - 69
• 70 - 74
• 75 - 79
• 80+

CORPORATE TEAMS/ ORGANIZATIONS/ FAMILIES Please limit organization and family entries to no more than eight (8) individuals. Every individual in family groups must be related.  

COSTUME CONTEST CATEGORIES:

• Family/Group
• Couples/Pairs
• Singles  

All categories will be competing for BEST COSTUMES! Winners will be posted Sunday at www.furrondy.net. Cash awards of $100 for 1st, $50 for 2nd and $25 for 3rd place will be presented for each category at the awards presentation after the race. Come out, have fun, win cash and claim bragging rights!  

COSTUME CONTEST ELIGIBILITY 

To compete in the Costume events, all individuals competing in the categories must be registered in either of the two runs.  

PARKING

Absolutely no parking is allowed anywhere on the race course. Recommended parking is at the 6th Avenue Parking Garage at 6th Avenue & G Street.
