About this race
The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6527 in Greenwood, Arkansas, will be hosting a chipped-timed 5K Run/Walk for Warriors on February 25, 2023.  This is a great event for a very worthy cause.  All monies raised will be used to help or assist local veterans in-need within our community. Â
The 5K check-in will be at our VFW POST on the Square, at 305 E Center St. OUR STARTING POINT IS AT THE COAL MINER's MEMORIAL, NEXT TO FIRST NATIONAL BANK. The route will take you STRAIGHT ACROSS Bell Road, pass behind the high school and back down Main Street, with a finish at Town Square. WE WILL HAVE CLEAR MARKERS ON THE ROAD AND A NEW MAP POSTED BEFOREHAND for you.
The race will be officially chipped and timed with Jaymax Race Timing Services, and we will have volunteers manning various locations along the route. Â There will be MEDALS FOR ALL PARTICIPANTS, top place medals in different age categories and t-shirts for the first 300 to register.
