AI Overview

The Megalodon Weekend Virtual Shark's Tooth 10K, scheduled for March 2, 2024, in Venice, Florida, is a unique virtual event celebrating the region's rich paleontological heritage. While the physical race occurs in Venice, participants can complete their 10K anywhere in the world, submitting their results virtually. This event is designed to honor the ancient Megalodon shark and the abundance of shark teeth found on Venice Beach. Participants can expect a scenic and often flat course, typical of coastal Florida terrain. While the virtual format offers flexibility, those running in Venice can anticipate potentially warm and humid conditions, especially in early March, with a possibility of light sea breezes. The primary appeal of this race lies in its theme, offering a fun and accessible way to engage with local history and enjoy a 10K run, all while potentially "hunting" for their own shark's tooth keepsake.
