Join us for the Young Life 10K/5K Road Race: The Greater Milledgeville Young Life 10K/5K in memory of Julia Tarter benefits Young Life of Greater Milledgeville. This race honors the memory of Julia Tarter. Julia was a Young Life leader at Georgia College who carried passion and joy with her everywhere she went. She was active in WinShape camps, Phi Mu, and served as a GCSU Student Ambassador. Julia's legacy lives on through her passion for Young Life, Jesus, and spreading joy to all those she came into contact with. 

The Race will take place in the Airport neighborhood in Milledgeville, Ga.  

Race Day Information: Packet Pickup will begin at 7:30AM. The 10K/5K road race will begin approximately at 8:30AM. The courses will start together at the Fire Station on Airport Road NE. The race will begin down Lakeport Road. The 10K and 5K racers will split at Shortcut Road and Lakeport Road. The course will continue around Lakeview Drive. 10K/5K course will split again at Newport Road/Lakeshore Circle.

Race Day Registration: Online registration will close on March 1, 2023. There will be race day registration, but shirts will not be provided to runners who register after February 17, 2023.  Additional T-shirts will be made available for purchase at the race until supplies last.

Race Day Registration will be $25 for the 10K and $20 for the 5K. (No t-shirt included in race day registration)

Race Start/Parking: The start line and packet pick-up will be located at the Firestation on Airport Road. 

Awards:

10K Awards- Each race finisher will receive a finisher's medal. Overall awards will be given to the top Male/Female in each age group: Under 15, 16-20, 21-25, 26-30, 31-35, 35-40, 41-45, 46-50, 51-55, 56-60, 60-65, 65+. 

5K Awards- Each race finisher will receive a finisher's medal. Overall awards will be given to the top Male/Female in each age group: Under 15, 16-20, 21-25, 26-30, 31-35, 35-40, 41-45, 46-50, 51-55, 56-60, 60-65, 65+. 

Results: Finish line management and results provided by Elite Race Timing.

Shirts and Race: Race shirts are guaranteed to those who complete online registration by 2/17/2023. There will be refreshments along the race path and at the finish line. Post-race vendors will provide snacks and drinks at an additional cost. 

Other Info: In case of rain, the races will go on.  Delay of the start may happen in case of severe weather in the area at race time.  If severe weather continues, then the race director or local authorities may make the call to cancel the race at that time. Sorry, no refunds will take place.
