Garrison Mill Elementary School’s PTA and Foundation are joining forces to bring the Greyhound Gallop race and invite you to support our school through this popular tradition! All proceeds from the race will go towards capital improvements at Garrison Mill Elementary School. Our goal is to install a shade structure over the 1-3rd grade playground. Estimated cost is $45,000.Â
Sprint gallopers, slow trotters, and families are all welcome to run/walk 1K or 5K.Â
5K is an AJC Peachtree Road Race Qualifying Event!
4 yo & under are welcome to take part in the Giddy Up Gallop Fun Run with our Gary the Greyhound and other friends!

All participants will park at the Wesley Chapel UMC 4495 Sandy Plains Rd, Marietta, GA 30066 and use a provided shuttle to arrive at Garrison Mill. The last shuttle will run at 7:30AM. Please plan to arrive early.Â
Arrive at 7:00 am for same-day registration and number pickup.
7:30 am 1K race begins.
8:00 am 5K begins. Our course starts at Garrison Mill school, continues through a picturesque Wesley Chapel Road, beautiful Mabry Park and finishing at the school track.Â
9:00 am Family friendly post race party at the finish line
9:15 am Giddy Up Gallop fun run begins on the track for 4 & under
9:30 am Awards ceremony. Medals for top three female / male 5K finishers in the following age groups:

15-19
20-29
30-39
40-49
50-59
60-69
70 and over
All registered participants will receive a t-shirt (guaranteed if registered before February 15, 2023).
