Reforest 5k 5k Run

John’s Run/Walk Shop and Lexington’s Division of Environmental Services present, the fifth annual Reforest 5k! We're so excited to be back in-person for this event at Hisle Farm Park, where race proceeds will help raise money to purchase trees for this year’s Reforest the Bluegrass in April. With your help, we hope to plant hundreds of trees after the race at home, and thousands more during Reforest the Bluegrass.

We're also excited to be the kick-off event for this year's Water Week! 

All race participants will receive sustainability swag from Live Green Lexington, a Reforest 5k shirt, and the option to take a tree to plant at home after their run or walk. Participants can also choose to have their tree planted on their behalf at a 2023 Reforest the Bluegrass event.

1. Persimmon (fruit)
2. Flowering dogwood (Flowering)
3. Pecan (shade)
4. KY Coffeetree (shade)
5. Loblolly pine (evergreen)
