About this race

Shamrock’n the Harbor 12K and 5K is an out-and-back course starting at the Cushman Trail Park, in Gig Harbor, WA.

You’ll run along the gorgeous Cushman Trail towards the Tacoma Narrows Bridge. Both courses have a few rolling hills to help keep those legs awake and working. Maps with elevation can be found on the website.

5K participants will circle back to the finish line at the 2.5K post. And, for the adventurous 12K runners, the course will take you a distance across the Tacoma Narrows Bridge for a bird’s eye view of the Narrows before turning around to make your way back to the finish line. All ages can get their Irish on, while jigging o’er the hills and dales along your Shamrock’n journey!

The annual 5K/12K is a family-friendly run/walk. 100% of the proceeds from Shamrock’n the Harbor benefit the Greater Gig Harbor Foundation's Gig Harbor Senior Center, the only organization specifically working to meet the needs of our community's seniors through regular programs, activities and services that enable them to remain active and thrive.

STH is a timed run, limited to the first 300 registered participants. First 50 to register will receive a custom fleece blanket to warm up in before and after the race.

START/FINISH LOCATION: At the top of Olympic Dr. before it turns into Soundview Dr.,

between Hollycroft St. and Hollycroft Wye NW. Cushman Trail Park is located directly across

the street from Olympic Village Shopping Center. There will be a large orange arch that will

be hard to miss!
