St. Patrick's Day Half Marathon and 5K 2023 ☘ Wellen Park - St. Patrick's Day Half Marathon 🍀🤍

PRE-RACE DAY PACKET PICKUP: Thursday, March 16th  3PM - 7PM & Saturday March 18th, 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., at Solis Hall,19745 Wellen Park Blvd, Venice, FL 34293. Race Day Packet pickup is 6:15 a.m. - 7:15 a.m. at Solis Hall.

 

Wellen Park is pleased to announce our First Inaugural Half Marathon and 2nd Annual 5K.  Starting and finishing in the new downtown area of Wellen Park, Venice, Florida.  Donations and a portion of race proceeds will benefit Girls on the Run of Southwest Florida  https://www.girlsontherun.org/

 

You are in for a great race day experience with live music, Irish dancers, green beer, mimosas, and post race food. All complimentary of course. 

 

RACE INFORMATION:

When: Sunday, March 19, 2023 

Where: Solis Hall, downtown Wellen Park

Time:  1/2 starts at 7:30 a.m.  5K starts at 7:45 a.m.

Parking:  There is plenty of parking around the downtown area.  Parking attendants will be guiding vehicles to parking spots. 

 

*Walkers, Strollers and leashed dogs are welcome and must start in the back of each race.

 

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:

• 6:15 a.m. - 7:15 a.m., Race Day Packet Pickup. 

• 6:15 a.m. - 7:15 a.m., Race Day Registration for the 1/2 Marathon

• 6:15 a.m. - 7:30 a.m., Race Day Registration for the 5K

• 7:30 a.m. - 1/2 Start

• 7:45 a.m. - 5K Start

• 8:00 am - Post race food and beverages  

• 9:35 am - Awards Ceremony 
  
  

AWARDS:

5K & 1/2, Male/Female: Overall Winners, Masters, Grand Masters, Senior Grand Masters, Veterans.

5K - 1st, 2nd & 3rd in the following age groups:  0-14,15-19,20-24,25-29,30-34,35-39,40-44,45-49,50-54,55-59,60-64,65-69,70-74,75-79,80+ 

1/2 Marathon - 1st, 2nd & 3rd in the following age groups: 13-14, 15-19,20-24,25-29,30-34,35-39,40-44,45-49,50-54,55-59,60-64,65-69,70-74,75-79,80+  *Participants must be at least 13yrs old to participate.

Participants will receive a finisher medal.

Shirts and sizes are not guaranteed after 2/27/23. Additional shirts have been ordered and will be given out at the race, on a first come, first serve basis. 

 

MEDCIAL SUPPORT:  Our friends at Peace River K9 Search & Rescue, will have a medical triage trailer set up near the finish line for participants needing medical assistance.
