Run Like A Wildcat! 5k 5k

University Elementary is proud to bring back their 5K race on a flat and fast course! Please join us to gather the community for an opportunity to run, race and have a good time and raise money for the “All Inclusive Playground.”

100% of proceeds will go to the purchasing and installation of inclusive playground equipment.

 

Race date: Saturday March 25th

At University Elementary School, 9900 Smitherman Drive, Shreveport, LA 71115

 

Start times:

1/2 mile fun run - 8:00 a.m.

5k - 8:15 a.m.

 

Course Description: 5K Run: The 5k Run will begin in the parking lot of the school and proceed through the neighborhood and end back at the school!

Entry Fee:

5K Registration: All ages can register for the 5K.

$20 through Friday, March 3rd (includes T-shirt).
Late Registration-$25 through Saturday, March 4th to-Race day, March 25th .

Sleep in Supporter: If you cannot be there and want to give support for the playground pricing is the same as the 5K registration (t-shirt included).

½ Mile Kids Fun Run: (ages 10-under)

The Fun Run will start in front of the school and be a great warm-up for the 5K race!
$15 through Friday, March 3rd (includes T-Shirt).
Late registration: $20 through Saturday, March 4th to-Race Day, March 25th .

At University Elementary School on race morning starting at 7:00 a.m.

Race Packet Pick-Up: Pre-registered participants will receive an official race t-shirt.

• Thursday, March 23rd, noon – 6 p.m. at Sportspectrum

• Friday, March 24th, 10 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. at Sportspectrum

• Race day from 7 a.m.-7:45 a.m. at race site, University Elementary

 

Awards: 5K: Overall male and female winners will receive $100 cash each, overall runner up male and female $50 cash each.

1st and 2nd place male and female 5K winners will receive a cool trophy in the following age divisions: 6-under; 7-8; 9-10; 11-12; 13-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69, 70+

½ Mile Kids Fun Run: Fun Run certificates will be given to each participant that cross the finish line!
