This particular event, designated as "Event Type: 6", is likely part of a recurring series or a specific initiative, though its exact historical context within a larger organization isn't detailed here. Participants can anticipate a fun, non-competitive 5k race where they'll be doused in colorful, non-toxic powder at various points along the course, creating a lively and visually striking atmosphere. The primary aim of the "Breaking The Stigma" theme suggests a charitable or awareness component, likely supporting mental health initiatives or similar causes. Expect a relatively flat and accessible course through Scotland Neck, typical of many 5k runs in community settings. The terrain will likely consist of paved roads or well-maintained paths suitable for runners and walkers of all fitness levels. Conditions in late March in North Carolina are generally pleasant, with mild temperatures, though participants should be prepared for typical spring weather. The notable feature of this event is its emphasis on inclusivity and enjoyment through the "color run" format, making it less about personal bests and more about shared experience and supporting a meaningful cause.
