Race Info

Come celebrate Maple Weekend with Dutchess County Parks! Maple Saturday will kick off with a 5K run/walk in partnership with Eastern Dutchess Road Runners Club and Sneaker Mutt.

The 5K will take place on paved and gravel roadways within scenic Bowdoin Park.

Immediately following, why not stick around for the best Pancake Competition Breakfast taking place in the auditorium and will feature Dutchess County Parks Maple syrup! 

Fun and Food nothing better than that!

COURSE

Starts at Pavilion 5. 

First Portion: (out and back) Runners will make a left onto George Bowdoin Way, running downhill past Turtle Pond, turnaround at Pavilion 1

Second Portion: (out and back) Runners will continue uphill to the Parks main entrances where they will turn around, turn right onto Maple Knoll Road, turnaround at Maple Knoll Lodge, running past the Chapel and turn right.

Third Portion: (out and back) Runners head downhill, back towards Pavilion 5, turn right onto Maple Syrup Drive, turnaround at (tree)

Finish at Pavilion 5

Best Pancake Competition 

10:00- 1:00pm

Dutchess County Park staff and Culinary Institute of America students working together and challenging each other in a competition for the best pancake of 2023. 

You decide who wins the challenge!

 

Pancake Breakfast Cost

$5 per person, cash payment at the door. Children under 6 are free. 

Maple Education workshop beginning at 12:30pm included in the price.
