About this race
Sign up to participate in the 7th Annual 5K Run and 1 Mile Walk for Brain Injury Awareness presented by Ohio State's Chronic Brain Injury Program, Dodd Rehabilitation Hospital, and MPOWER Health!
This event is hosted by the undergraduate student organization Buckeyes Raising Awareness in Neuroscience (BRAIN). All proceeds directly benefit brain injury survivors, including through our NeuroNights program, a joint initiative between The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, The Ohio State University Chronic Brain Injury program, and BRAIN to provide comprehensive communal and wellness support for brain injury survivors. Please contact us at [email protected] if you have any questions or concerns!
Last year's race proceeds benefitted the following:
- We made a $1000 donation to a therapeutic foundation, called Jack Gives Back
- We committed $1800 to funding fitness scholarships in partnership with Ohio State Rehabilitation facilities and their "NeuroWell" program
- Our group will provide $1000 to the CBI program to fund Travel Awards for students doing brain injury research to share their discoveries at national and international conferences
