What to expect

Written from race data

The 48th Annual Over and Under Tunnel Run is set to take place on April 1, 2023, in Houma, LA. This historic event, now in its 48th year, is more than just a race; it's a long-standing tradition in the community. This year's edition includes a dedicated Kid's Fun Run, making it an inclusive event for all ages. Participants can expect a unique running experience that lives up to its name. The "Over and Under" aspect likely refers to navigating the local terrain, possibly involving elevated sections or, as the name strongly suggests, running through or over a tunnel. The typical terrain in the Houma area is generally flat and can be susceptible to warm and humid conditions, especially in early April, so runners should be prepared for this. While specific details on the exact course aren't provided, the "Tunnel Run" moniker implies that a tunnel will be a central and memorable feature of the race.
