Red Shoe Run is an annual celebration of family, fundraising and awareness for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Alabama.
Now in its 19th year, Red Shoe Run continues to go to new distances to serve families staying at Ronald McDonald House Charities of Alabama (RMHCA). Red Shoe Run will be held Saturday, April 15th, 2023! This Birmingham favorite provides several options for participation including an in-person 5K run or walk and a 1-mile fun run, and a Red Shoe 'Snoozer' option for participants that like to sleep in on race day and still support a great cause. This exciting day of fellowship will be topped off with an awards ceremony and a block party!
Rock N' Roll for RMHCA families! Our "Rockin’ 5K" encourages participants to wear an 'on-theme' costume. We will announce best costume prior to the awards ceremony. This year, our special team awards will include Extra Mile Award (largest team), House Heroes Award (1st place fundraising team), Most Enthusiastic Award (best team spirit), and Corporate Challenge Week Winner. Team perks include a Team Roll Call during our awards ceremony, VIP table seating and complimentary sign for teams with 10+ members, and recognition on RMHCA Facebook event page. Individual awards will include House Hero MVP (top individual fundraiser) and all individual participants who raise at least $100 will be entered in a drawing for an RMHCA SWAG Bag.
Make the most of your participation by utilizing our participant toolkit.Â
All money raised through the Red Shoe Run stays at the Ronald McDonald House in Birmingham to keep families together at a time when it’s needed most.Â
Special thanks to our 2023 Red Shoe Run Committee!Â
