Come join us at the Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park for a 10K or 5K Trail Run. Enjoy the beautiful surroundings and wildlife of the park. The course is on the Power Line Trail. It is a smooth mixed surface trail of mostly dirt and gravel. The 5K course and park are dog friendly, so bring your furry friend if they like to run with you. Dogs must be leashed. The 10K course goes into Carlton Reserve, that area is NOT dog friendly. Â The event is race directed and timed by Beach Bum Timing. All donations and partial proceeds will go to the North Port High School Track Team. There are automatic discounts for Local SWFLÂ Runsignup club members. If your club is not on runsignup, check with your club leadership or email [email protected] for a discount code.Â
Start Times: 10K at 7:30 a.m. 5K at 7:35 a.m. Â
Awards Ceremony (in-person 10K &5K): Awards will be presented immediately following each race to the top male finisher and top female finisher in the following categories:Â Overall, Masters, Grand Masters, Senior Grand Master, Veterans, Overall Youth. Age group awards for 5K will be given to the top three male and female finishers in the following groups: 9 & under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+. Â Age group awards for 10K: 14 & Under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+
5K ONLY: Awards will be presented to the top 3 dog finishers in the 5K. Dogs on not permitted on the 10K route due to park rules.
Refunds:Â There are no refunds for this race, unless the race is cancelled due to COVID.
