17th Annual UAB National Alumni Society Scholarship Run presented by Viva Health 17th Annual UAB National Alumni Society Scholarship 10K

 

The UAB National Alumni Society is excited to announce that the 2023 Scholarship Run is finally back in person! Join us on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at 8am in The Battery Sports Bar parking lot in Homewood, AL. This run is on a certified course with chipped timing. 

Date: Saturday, April 15, 2023
Time: 8:00am 
Location: The Battery- 2821 Central Ave, Homewood, AL 35209
Race Parking: Please use street parking or the OLS Church parking lot. NO parking on Reese Street
Timing Company: Jeff Clark Timing 

All participants (5K, 10K, and non-runners) will receive a packet with a t-shirt and a finisher medal. 
Last day to secure race t-shirt size is March 26th. 

Award medals will be given to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners (female and male) and 1st place overall (female and male).

50-59 years old
60-69 years old
70+ years old

Each spring, the UAB National Alumni Society hosts its annual Scholarship Run presented by Viva Health. Started in 2007, the Scholarship Run has allowed the NAS to raise $975,000 to help support student scholarships. The Scholarship Run has established itself as an exceptional annual run for alumni and friends.

The NAS is a 501(c)(3) committed to serving UAB alumni and students through engaging events and resources. We are humbled to be able to provide student scholarships each year through our fundraising events. This much needed assistance is awarded to a wide range of students including first-year, legacy, and graduate students. Increasing the amount of scholarship dollars provided to students is an instrumental goal of the NAS. This money allows the NAS to assist students from across campus. In 2021-2022, the NAS awarded more than 140 students with scholarships totaling more than $222,000.
