About this race

About Bailey’s Team for Autism...
Bailey's Team for Autism is a regional non-profit organization raising funds and awareness in support of individuals living with autism spectrum disorders and their families. Founded in 2001 and incorporated in 2008, we have raised over $1.3 million contributing over 90% of all funds raised with a focus on programming, education, and research. We have supported projects nationwide, but our concentration is in New England - more specifically, Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
About the Run...
Our 5k is a professionally measured and USATF Certified fast, flat course and encourages good race time! It starts and finishes on Payson Road will continue left onto Chestnut Street then onto Mechanic Street and up Baker returning to Chestnut and Payson Road back at the start.
About the Walk...
The WALK route is 1 mile from the run start on Payson Road. Participation is FREE but registration is required (there is a fee if you want an event t-shirt - please see below)! You may register on site where ALL walkers will be required to sign a waiver (adults must sign on behalf of their child). We do not encourage walkers to follow the 5k run route as we will not have all safety precautions and police officers stationed for more than one hour along the route. Also, we will be well into our after-party at Conrads, as a result, we encourage you to "run the run," or “walk the [1 mile] walk."
Who gets a T-Shirt?
T-Shirts are FREE and guaranteed to the first 150 registered RUNNERS
We encourage you to help support Bailey's Team for Autism by fundraising and this site makes it very easy!

What to expect

Written from race data

Bailey's Run for Autism, held annually on April 16th in Foxboro, MA, is a dedicated fundraising event supporting autism awareness and research. While specific historical data on its origins isn't provided, events like this typically boast a supportive and community-driven atmosphere, welcoming both runners and walkers of all ages and abilities. Participants can anticipate a family-friendly environment with opportunities to contribute to a worthy cause, often featuring additional activities beyond the main event. The terrain in Foxboro, especially for an event staged at a common venue like a park or public space, usually involves a mix of paved paths and potentially some well-maintained trails, offering a generally smooth and accessible running/walking experience. Participants should be prepared for spring weather conditions in New England, which can be variable, with potential for mild temperatures but also possible rain or wind. The event's "Event Type: 6" designation suggests it's a well-established and likely organized run/walk, with clear course markings and support stations. While not explicitly stated, these types of charity races often feature a celebratory finish line and opportunities to connect with other participants and beneficiaries.
