About this race

Bring your favorite pup to celebrate The Summit Hotel’s 5-year anniversary and support United Pet Fund (UPF) with a 5K and Dog Jog!  Escort your good doggo around The Summit Hotel and Madison Square, with pre-and post-race celebrations and vendors in the Gallery at The Summit Hotel. No pup? No worries! Feel free to race the 5K to your heart’s content.

The Summit opened in Madisonville in 2018 and is now one of Cincinnati’s leading independent hotels, nourishing guests through chef-driven cuisine, thoughtful art exhibitions, and unforgettable experiences and events.

Before The Summit existed, there was a loving golden retriever named Maxwell, and when he passed on, his owner made a generous donation to UPF in his honor. The Summit’s owner has close ties to Maxwell, so the hotel and UPF have had a close relationship for the past five years. The Summit regularly sponsors UPF events and donates funds raised for the organization.

When you register for The Summit Hotel 5K and Dog Jog, you’ll receive a shirt, a post-race snack, and drink, and of course race entry. Don’t forget your furry friends! You can also purchase doggie bandanas so your pup can race in style!

The Summit is an artful experience with sophisticated amenities including a Rooftop Terrace, a state-of-the-art fitness center and yoga studio, a soaring nine-story Atrium, and an ultramodern social library. With three dining areas and 17 meeting rooms, The Summit is a luxury destination for locals as well as out-of-town visitors.
