SMILES for Cancer 5k VIRTUAL- Smiles for Cancer 5K

When two moms who were close friends were diagnosed with cancer and received treatment at Emory's Winship Cancer Institute, their children were inspired to help others who were in the same situation. Together they founded SMILES 4 Cancer (SMILES stands for Strong Moms Inspire us to Love, Encourage, and Support) and started a non-profit organization with a mission to support patients. SMILES was founded in 2017 and their focus is delivering care packages and blankets directly to patients receiving treatment at the infusion center. Funds raised will help support patients at Emory’s Winship Cancer Institute as well as contribute to targeted research in the quest for a cure.

Join us on June 8th 2024 as we run the SMILES for Cancer 5K at Riverside park in Roswell GA . The course will take us west from the park along the super flat  paved trails that highlight the beautiful Chattahoochee River.  Bring your family and friends as we enjoy the beauty of Riverside Park and raise money to support those dealing with cancer.
