Peyton's Promise 5K Run for CDH Research 2K Walk, scheduled for June 8, 2024, in Sea Isle City, NJ, is a community-driven event dedicated to raising awareness and funds for Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH) research. This annual race, likely in its [insert year/number if known] iteration, has become a significant local effort supporting a vital cause. Participants can expect a family-friendly atmosphere with options for both competitive runners and walkers. The event is designed to be accessible to all fitness levels, fostering community spirit while contributing to important medical research. The race takes place in the picturesque setting of Sea Isle City, along the Jersey Shore. Participants will navigate a largely flat and paved course, characteristic of a beach town. The terrain typically consists of roads within the city, offering scenic views and a relatively fast race experience. Given the June date, runners and walkers should prepare for pleasant early summer weather, though conditions can vary and may include coastal breezes. This race's notable feature is its direct impact on CDH research, with proceeds directly benefiting this critical area of study, making it a meaningful event beyond just the physical activity.
