About this race

The 34th Annual Pleasant Valley Twilight Challenge will be held on Sunday, June 2nd 2024 at Pleasant Valley Park in Basking Ridge, NJ! We are excited about this event and hope you'll attend and donate. This event benefits the Bernards Township Municipal Alliance Against Substance Abuse and goes towards substance misuse prevention programs in Bernards Township, NJ. Please join us!

 

Location: In beautiful Pleasant Valley Park located at 3405 Valley Road in Basking Ridge, NJ. All events take place in Parking Lot 2.

Pack Pick Up Info: Packet pick up and Same Day Registration will be from 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm on Race Day. Please park in Parking Lot 1 or 3 on Race Day.

Giveaways: Race shirts will be available to pre-registered Health Walkers and 5K Runners. Shirts will be available on Race Day while supplies last.


1 Mile Health Walk (Starts at 5:30 pm): Registration is $15. Walkers can pre-register or register on race day. The course is a scenic walk through picturesque Pleasant Valley Park! Take an invigorating walk and be back in time to cheer on 5K racers! T-shirts guaranteed for pre-registrants.

5K Race (Starts at 6 PM):
Please note the change in registration fees for 2024!
Two cross country loops around the park. Early Bird Registration until March 31st is $20. Pre-registration from April 1st until May 31st is $30 (Registered online or received by May 31st). Registration is $35 on Race Day. A combination of road, trail, and grass. Aid stations are located at midpoint and finish. Chip timing, a halfway split, a finish line clock, race results, and optional text message results are provided and posted by Compuscore. T-shirts are guaranteed for pre-registrants and on race day while supplies last.

Lollipop Loop (Starts at 6:45 PM): FREE. For kids of all ages - a fun loop over a grassy field. Everyone's a winner! (Please note that this event takes place towards the end of the 5K Race)

Awards at 7:00 PM: Awards will take place at the conclusion of the 5K race. Prizes will be awarded to top overall male and female and top three runners in each age group in ten-year increments 10 and under to 80 and over. No duplicate awards will be given.
