The Cellebrite UpLIFT 5K: Race Against Human Trafficking Virtual 5K is a unique event with a significant mission, taking place on June 3, 2024. While the official location is listed as Wilmington, NC, this is a virtual race, meaning participants can run or walk their 5K from anywhere in the world. This flexibility allows for broad participation in the fight against human trafficking. The "Event Type: 6" likely refers to a specific classification within a larger race management system, but for participants, the core understanding is that it's a virtual 5K. As a virtual event, participants can expect a self-directed experience. They will complete their 5K distance on their own chosen route and at their own pace between designated dates (though a specific end date for completion is not provided here, it's typical for virtual races). The terrain and conditions are entirely up to the individual, offering the freedom to run on roads, trails, treadmills, or any surface they prefer. While there isn't a traditional race course, the notable feature is the shared purpose: raising awareness and funds to combat human trafficking, with Cellebrite serving as a key supporter. Participants typically receive a digital race bib and often a virtual finisher's medal or other recognition for their contribution and completion.
