About this race
New York Adult & Teen Challenge is a Christian residential discipleship program that helps people who struggle with life-controlling issues.
Mission Statement: NYATC exists for individuals to experience freedom from addiction by helping them to KNOW Christ, GROW in Christ, SERVE Christ, and SHARE what Christ has done for them.
There are currently four centers across New York State. These centers are located in Rochester, Buffalo, Syracuse, and Long Island.
Our organization is always looking for ways to promote community involvement and interaction while raising necessary funds for the program. Unfortunately, recovery treatment at NYATC is not supported by insurance providers or government funding, so our centers rely on donations from supporters and events we host. The second annual NYATC 5K – Run/Walk for Recovery will be held on Saturday, June 8th, 2024. Participants will have the option to run or walk a traditional 5K. The cost to participate will be $35. Participants will also have the opportunity to get their friends and family involved with peer-to-peer fundraising. Various prizes will be awarded based on the amount of money each person raises.
This year we are excited to add to our event, a Kids Fun Run!
All of the finances raised for this race go to supporting and sponsoring the next individual coming into the program.
