About this race

run4DAD is a seasoned and dynamic community event, bringing together cancer patients, survivors, family members, friends, physicians, celebrities and athletes to bring awareness and education to prostate cancer.  Proceeds help to support awareness, education, and support groups for men with prostate cancer and their families. 

Presented by Wellstar, the annual run4DAD 5K Run/Walk offers something for everyone: 
        5K Run/Walk - A Peachtree Road Race certified course
        1 Mile Run/Walk 
        kids4DAD Tot Trot (a short run through the parking lot for kids 6 and under; they receive a run4DAD cape to wear) 
        snooze4DAD (stay home and sleep in, but still support the cause and receive a race t-shirt)

Prizes are awarded to winners in the 5K in multiple age brackets. Race shirts are provided for all registered participants. 

run4DAD benefits ProstAware, a Georgia 501(c)3 non-profit organization solely dedicated to prostate cancer awareness and education for men and their loved ones. For more information about ProstAware, go to ProstAware.org.

EARLY RACE # & PACKET PICK-UP:

  • Friday, June 14th, 4 pm to 7 pm at Big Peach Running Co., 5530 Windward Parkway Suite 420, Alpharetta, GA 30004

RACE DAY SCHEDULE:

  • 7:00am - Race Day Registration & Race # Pick-up
  • 7:40am - 1 Mile Fun Run / Walk
  • 8:00am - 5K Start
  • 9:10am - kids4DAD Tot Trot
  • 9:15am - Awards Ceremony

RACE PARKING:

  • Parking is available at the Wills Park Swimming Pool lot until the lot fills (approximately 200 spaces).  Access to this parking lot closes at 7:30am.  Additional parking is available at the American Legion Hall on Wills Road.  (There currently is an equestrian event scheduled for the Wills Park Equestrian Center parking area.)
  • Additional parking may be available in the vicinity of downtown Alpharetta.
  • OLD MILTON PARKWAY will be closed between Roswell Street and Wills Road during the race.  Please anticipate that will be from 7:30am to approximately 9:15am.  Participants parked at the Wills Park Swimming Pool will be able to exit the parking lot during the 5K toward Wills Road ONLY.
