June 21, 2024
Huxley, IA, 50124, US
Huxley Parks and Recreation is hosting it's first 4x4x48 Challenge June 2024. June 21st-23rd with base camp in the Huxley Safe Room.
The 4x4x48 is an easily accessible entry into ultra-marathon running challenge that was first pioneered by David Goggins in March 2020. The former Navy SEAL has mobilized thousands of people around the world to test their physical and mental strength by running four miles every four hours over a 48-hour period.
The race starts at 8:00pm Friday, June 21st with runs every 4 hours until the final run at 4pm Sunday, June 23rd.
Pick your level of crazy. (FOUR OPTIONS)
This is open to all. This is NOT a chipped event and there are no prizes for being the fastest finisher. You can run or walk -- or as is most likely, a combination of the two. Don't make the mistake of thinking this is easy. It's not. You will find it tough both mentally and physically and you need to be prepared for that. But then... that's why it is a challenge!
