Summer Solstice 4 Mile Road Race & 2 Mile Fun Run/Walk Summer Solstice Virtual 4 Mile Race

In partnership with the Yorkville High School Distance program, you'll be able to participate in a Summer Solstice four-mile run commencing and finishing right in the heart of Downtown Yorkville.

Pre-race packet pick up @ race finish/start line on Friday from 5:30pm-7pm. Bicentennial Park, near the damn in downtown Yorkville.

Day-of registration and packet pickup begins at 6:30 AM. and concludes 7:30 AM. The race begins at 8:00 AM. 

Preregistration cost is $40 which includes one (1) solstice beer token (21+, redeemable from participating vendors), $5 discount towards festival entrance ticket, and a t-shirt.

Medals will be awarded for top age-group finishers.

YOU MAY RUN THIS RACE VIRTUALLY (virtual racers are ineligible for age group awards)

Online preregistration ends June 21, 2024 at 8am CDT.

The race begins at 8 AM, Saturday June 22nd.

Registration after June 21st 8am, will be $45 cash/credit. Packet pickup begins Friday at 5:30pm-7pm and Saturday at 6:30am-7:30am. No checks please.

Course Info:  Primarily an out-and-back course, with a loop that turns you around to come back toward the start/finish. The Course begins and ends at the corner of Hydraulic and Mill streets, and runs out-and-back down Van Emmon Street.

Parking:  There are multiple parking lots around downtown Yorkville, but plan on giving yourself some time to park and walk over to the event/information/registration/packet pick-up area.

There is a small pavilion near the pedestrian bridge at Bicentennial Park. All packet pickup, registration, and all age-group awards will be located there.

Awards will be handed out at the race registration tent at Bicentennial Riverfront Park, E Hydraulic St, Yorkville.
