About this race
An event promoting Norfolk's beautiful beaches, water safety, and competitive running & swimming in the Hampton Roads area. The race is a certified fast out and back sand run through the scenic Oceanview area of Norfolk beach that runs along side of the waterfront. Race swag included for all participants at packet pick up/concluding the event. Easy parking available. This race has something for everyone from elite runners to walkers. A portion of the proceeds will go to Norfolk competitive swimming and Norfolk Silver Dolphins.

DESCRIPTION
Course: Sand
Start and finish: 100 W Oceanview Ave.
Race Route: Out and back
Packet Pickup: 5-7pm on Friday at Mudita Cafe (9647 1st View St, Norfolk, VA 23503) or at the race site on Race Day(May 6th) until 8:30am
- 9:00-10:30 AM: 5k competitive beach run
- 10:30-11:00 AM: 1 mile family fun run
- 11:00 AM: Awards Ceremony
AWARDS: Places 1st and 2nd will be given a special award based on gender and age groups. All runners will receive an award for participation.
RACE SWAG: Goodie bags will be given to participants at packet pick up. Awards will be given at the conclusion of the races.
