All proceeds from this event will support the Mendon High School and Middle School Cross Country programs! The race is organized and operated by the Mendon Cross Country coaching staff, current varsity runners and their families, and other Mendon community stakeholders.
This is a professionally marked PR course. The course is grassy, flat and fast, located on Mendon's high school campus. Men and women will run together, with the top ten finishers among both groups awarded medals in the chute. The top three male and female finishers will also receive $50, $30, and $20 gift cards to local businesses.
There are several course spots where runners encounter small patches of asphalt; runners should bring race shoes and spikes and make their own decisions on footwear.
The Family Fun Run or Walk can be run individually or as a four (4) person relay event. Randomly drawn prizes include gift cards to local businesses as well as a 32 inch smart TV and wireless earbuds. The top three male and female individual finishers for the Mile Event will receive $30, $20, and $15 gift cards to local businesses. The top three teams to finish the 1 mile event will each win four $10 gift cards to local businesses.
In addition to water, food and drink concessions will be available the morning of the race. There are public restrooms and ample parking on campus.
There will also be a first aid station on site. All runners must sign waivers to run the race or enter the first aid tent.
Race T-Shirts and Mendon XC and other athletic department outerwear will be available for purchase on the day of the race. Cash only! There will also be a bake sale!
