The Pickens Historic Hampton House 5k Run/Walk The Pickens Historic Hampton House 5k

This will be the 2nd year for this race and the 1st 4th of July 5k in the city of Pickens. It is the 5th Race in the Pickens County 5k Race Series which includes some of the most popular races in Pickens County The race will be held in Pickens at the Historic Hampton House in Pickens. The race will start and finish at the house.  Age group awards will be given at 10 year intervals.

Tee shirts: Tee shirts are guaranteed for anyone who registers before Thursday, June 21st. After that date, you will not get a tee shirt unless there are leftovers. 

Parking: There will be no parking at the Hampton House due to space but there is plenty of parking at 120 Hagood St. and the Doodle Park in Pickens which is a short walk or jog to the starting line.

Please try to register early if you plan to attend the event so we can keep expenses down, avoid waste and maximize the amount of funds to go towards the charity. If you don't want to attend but do want to donate, click on the donation tab.

Course: The course will start and finish in the lawn at the Historic Hampton House. The first 1/8th if a mile is on grass and a sandy trail. It is a beginner trail run. The run then goes north on Hagood Street and crosses E Cedar rock St to get onto the Doodle Trail. It is out and back on the Doodle Trail. You must reach the turnaround in order to receive a finisher medal. With a little luck, the volunteer at the turn around is going to collect split times to let you know if you were able to negative split the race.

Packet Pickup: Will be Wednesday Night 6-7:00pm at the Pickens Doodle Park and Thursday morning 7:30-8:45am at the Hampton House near the race start.. You must pick up your bib before 8:45am if you expect a time.
