Independence Run 5k / 10k 5K
Sunday, 7 July 2024· 08:00· Tampa, FL, 33614, US
About this race
On 04 July 1776, a treaty was signed where the thirteen original colonies cut ties with Great Britain. That treaty is, hands down, one of the greatest pieces of American writing, and it both declares and symbolizes the United States of America as its own single entity. The treaty is known as the Declaration of Independence.
We are not able to hold this event on the 4th of July due to permitting restrictions by the City, but we certainly are able to celebrate Independence Day! So come join us on Sunday, 07 July 2024 as we host the Independence Run. Don your most patriotic attire for some light exercise, a nice shaded run, or an effort at a new PR as you walk or run a 5K or 10K at Al Lopez Park in Tampa FL! We know it will be hot as it is the summer in Florida, but don't you worry as we will have plenty of ice, water, a sponge station, and cooling towels. It is set to be a great event, and we look forward to seeing you there!
