East Atchison's Run With the Wolves Wolf Cubs' 1 Mile Fun Run

Support the East Atchison Wolves Cross Country Team by participating in the second run with the wolves 5k run/walk and 1 mile fun run. This event supports both casual joggers/walkers looking to get some exercise and socialize, as well as serious runners looking for a new personal best. The event starts in the parking lot of the Tarkio Activity Center, moves onto the streets of Tarkio down and around Niedermeyer Park, back up to the TAC, around Tarkio High School and finishes back in the TAC parking lot where it started. You can find the map at the link below, and a few maps will be printed and available at the event. The roads will be lightly marked and we will have a lead vehicle or runner as well as volunteer field marshals to help direct you. Water bottles will be provided at the start/finish line, and we will have a water station around the 1-1.25 mile mark at Niedermeyer Park.

We are looking to promote both a fun and competitive time as we would love to see the community use this event as an opportunity to socialize and stay healthy, and also offer a semi competitive environment by using members of the cross country team as pacers. Pacers will be available running the following times to help you reach a time goal you might have: 20:00, 22:00, 24:00, 26:00, 28:00, 30:00. 

All runners who signup before July 5th receive a complementary event shirt, and all runners who signup before July 12th will be timed, and be eligible for medaling. If you miss the signup deadline or are not interested in the shirt or timing you can signup the day of the event, however, we cannot guarantee that we will have extra shirts or timing available for you.

Medals will be awarded to the top 3 runners of each of the following age groups: 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+. Medals will also be awarded to all children who finish the 5k or the 1 mile fun run under the age of 10.
