The Twilight River Run, presented by Riddell National Bank, will be on Friday, July 26th at Fairbanks Park. This is a 1 Mile run/walk or a 5k run/walk and please note, this is a NIGHT race. Register by July 20th to guarantee a shirt. Online registrations are available until Tuesday, July 23. Race day registration will be available (shirts not included).
Each year the Twilight River Run includes a high school team event were schools can compete as a group to win money for their school running program. Each team must consist of at least four members. High school awards for both girls and boys. The four fastest times from each team will be used for the team placement. Team members are eligible for individual age group awards. The school team with the lowest cumulative time will win $250, and the second place team will win $100 for their school running program.
The Twilight River Run also funds the WVRR Scholarship Program. Each year WVRR awards two scholarships to outstanding student athletes from the Wabash Valley. Applicants are evaluated based on their academic and athletic accomplishments as well as the contributions they make to their schools and communities.
