The Smelter City Scamper will occur on Saturday August 10, 2023 as a part of Anaconda's Smeltermen's Day Celebration. The Scamper consists of a 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon that will require pre-registration, as well as a one block sprint designed for children 8 and under that is free of charge. All runs will start and end in the Kennedy Commons. Immediately following the race there will be a Brewfest occurring in the Kennedy Commons that will be hosted by Discover Anaconda as a part of the weekend-long festival. Multiple food trucks and coffee trucks will be set up where runners can refuel.
The Scamper is being hosted by Smelter City Recreation Complex (SCRC). SCRC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Anaconda, Montana.
