Our 12th Annual 5K & 13K are held on a fully paved course next to the sand in Playa Del Rey on August 25th, 2024

In its’ 12th year, The BRA Run supports Evelyn’s BFF, a charity that helps breast cancer survivors get back to their new normal while supporting counseling, reconstruction and other items that people are often not able to get covered by their insurance. Most of our grant recipients have bills going into 6 figures! This event is the biggest fundraiser for this all volunteer organization and determines how many people they can help this year.

Evelyn, the founder of the Evelyn's Breast Friends Forever (BFF) (a 501(c)3 non-profit public benefit charity foundation), started this event in 2013 and in her honor we have a 5K and a 13K at the BRA Run this year.

Join us for Evelyn's party and help her help other breast cancer survivors and their families. Our event will spread awareness of breast cancer reconstruction to the community by encouraging men and women to run and walk in their BRA (Breast Reconstruction Awareness) in honor and in memory of those who have been diagnosed with breast cancer.

Beach to City Challenge
Screenland 5K + BRA Run = Bonus bling featuring the fabulous Greta Garbo!

This cinematic legend and breast cancer survivor called Culver City home, so we are celebrating her with the Beach to City Challenge!

You must do both events back to back. You can do either the 5K or the 13K at the BRA Run and then the 5K at Screenland and you will be able to claim the bonus medal at the finish line festival of the Screenland 5k in March of 2025 in Culver City .  If you did Screenland in 2024, then you can complete the challenge at BRA Run in 2024.

We will be publishing a list of those who are qualified on the BRA Run website in August, before that event. You can check there to make sure we have you on the list after you register.

Sign up for both events at the same time or register for Sc

AI Overview

The BRA Run LA, proudly sponsored by Torrance Memorial Medical Center, returns on August 25, 2024, in Playa Del Rey, CA. While specific historical details of this iteration of the BRA Run are not provided, it's a 5K race, suggesting a well-established and accessible event for runners of various levels. Participants can anticipate a community-focused atmosphere with an emphasis on fitness and well-being, likely benefiting from the sponsorship of a prominent medical center. The race is set to take place in Playa Del Rey, a coastal community in Los Angeles. Given the location, runners should expect a largely flat and scenic course, typical of a beachside 5K. The terrain will likely involve paved paths or roads, with the possibility of some sections near the beach. Conditions in late August in Southern California can be warm, so participants should prepare for warmer weather and potential ocean breezes. While no specific notable features are listed, the coastal setting itself is a significant draw, offering picturesque views and a pleasant running environment.
