About this race

Strides for Speech is a 5K and Fun Run that's perfect for the whole family! This accessible race will be held at Joyner Park on smooth, paved courses.

The goal of Strides for Speech is to support Triangle Aphasia Project Unlimited's community programming while providing a fun and safe activity for those with aphasia, their families, and their communities.

Triangle Aphasia Project Unlimited (TAP) is a nonprofit organization that serves people with aphasia, their families, and their communities throughout North Carolina. Group programs for individuals with aphasia cater to different hobbies and passions, creating an environment where those with aphasia are motivated to work towards improved communication skills. Customized trainings for families and professionals improve communication and comfort around those with aphasia. The result is restoration of hope, determination, purpose, and engagement.
