This Labor Day 5K/10K/15K Virtual 10K event, taking place on September 2nd, 2024, in Kennesaw, GA, offers a flexible racing experience. While the title suggests multiple distances, the specified event type "Virtual 10K" indicates that this particular listing is for the 10K distance and will be run virtually. Participants can expect to complete their chosen distance on their own time and at their own pace, anytime between September 2nd and September 9th, 2024, as long as they submit their results by the deadline. The virtual nature means no specific course in Kennesaw will be designated, allowing runners to select a familiar route or a new one. Since this is a virtual event, the terrain and conditions are entirely at the participant's discretion, offering flexibility to run on roads, trails, or even a treadmill. However, the original event, likely held in Kennesaw, typically features a mix of road and path terrain, often in a park or well-established running area within the city. While specific race history for this virtual iteration isn't detailed, the "Labor Day 5K/10K/15K" nomenclature suggests a recurring annual event celebrating the holiday. Notable features for virtual participants include the convenience of running on their schedule and potentially receiving mailed medals or awards, a common practice for such events, to commemorate their achievement.
