The 2024 Cures for the Colors Color Run will be held on September 14, 2024. This year there will be a timed and untimed 5K option, as well as an untimed 1-mile fun run and a virtual event option for people that can't make it the day of the race. The 1- mile fun run starts at 8:30am and the 5K starts at 9:00am. There will be a new race route for the fun run. Registration will open the morning of the race at 7:45am.
5K registration costs $30 until 9/13 then $35 on race day; participants 18 & under costs $25. 1-Mile fun run registration is $20 until 9/13 then $25 on race day. Virtual 5K registration is $25.
To guarantee a t-shirt, you must register by 8/21/24.
All proceeds will be used to give people battling cancer in Eastern North Carolina a little extra help today while they fight for their tomorrow.
The top 3 female finishers, the top 3 male finishers, and the top 3 finishers under 18 will receive a race metal. The awards ceremony will be held after all participants have completed the race.
Virtual participants will run at a course of your choosing, including on a treadmill. Virtual participants can run (or walk) anytime anywhere on September 7-14, 2024.The virtual run will not be officially timed, but by using the RaceJoy app, you can receive a GPS-based time which will automatically submit your time for you. There will be an online leaderboard showing everyone's times. Virtual participates will receive a certificate and event t-shirt.
