Rachel's Race 5K Run/Walk (Timed)

This is a family-friendly event to celebrate the life of Rachel Ortman who was taken from us far too soon. This race will take place in Family Park in western Sioux Falls, and pass the bench that has been installed in Rachel’s memory.

The 5K race will be timed this year! Shirts are not guaranteed after 8/23/2024. Extra shirts may be purchased after checkout. 

Runners who choose to do the virtual option your packets will not be mailed out until after 9/14/2024. The cost of the virtual event includes shipping and handling.

Select Multi Person Pricing (Family of 4 or more) you may select NONE if you are not registering your family.  This is to be used for immediate family living in one house. You will only be allowed to select sizes for 4 shirts.  You may purchase additional shirts if you have more than four in your family. 

Rachel leaves behind a legacy of love - three beautiful children, a devoted husband, and parents and so much family who miss her every day. She touched the lives of a community of runners, bicyclists, fellow mamas, and even her doctors and pastor, who all reveled in her light. Challenging herself and each of us to #lovebetter - we are uniting to run, walk, or otherwise move as we remember, honor, and celebrate the spirit, joy, love, humor and delight that Rachel shared with all of us. Rachel's Race Inc. is a non-profit organization providing scholarships and support to families that have suffered a loss of a parent.
