JayDoc Memorial 5K in Honor of Caroline Trupp 5K Run

Signing up for the JayDoc Memorial 5K directly benefits the JayDoc Free Clinic, located at 340 Southwest Blvd and provides medical and dental care for the uninsured and underinsured population of Kansas City. The clinic operates on the help of both student and physician/dentist volunteers and is funded entirely through donations and grants. This 5k is one of the many efforts to raise funds so that the clinic can afford lab testing, medications, and supplies. With your sign-up, money will be going directly to fund this cause — to provide necessary medical care for those who would otherwise not receive it! 

The JayDoc Memorial 5K is also in memory of our beloved classmate and friend Caroline Trupp. Caroline was a rising second-year medical student who was passionate about giving to the underserved and the JayDoc Free Clinic. She was also an enthusiastic runner and thus, it is with a heavy heart and great sense of purpose the we have named the JayDoc Memorial 5K in her honor.

Race Information: Start Time: There will be two heats: For those wishing to be timed there will be a 9:00am start. For those who aren't interested in being timed, the start time is 9:10am.

Packet Pick-up: Packet pick up will begin at 7:45am across from Shelter 1.If you singed up before 9/3, you will be guaranteed a JayDoc Memorial 5K T-shirt. If you signed up after this period, we will have extras available for runners before the race on a first-come-first serve basis. We plan to purchase enough so that all who race will have a T-shirt.

Results and Awards: We will use hand timing and the race results will be compiled and sent out by email. Top male and female fishers will receive an award. Only those in the first heat will be eligible for an award.
