Rock, Paper, Run 5K Run/Walk Rock, Paper, Run 5K

The Central Arkansas Library System and the North Little Rock Public Library System have partnered to create the Rock, Paper, Run 5K to celebrate Library Card Sign-up Month. This family fun run/walk 5K will connect the two library systems beginning in Little Rock, leaving from the steps of the CALS Main Library, 100 Rock Street, Little Rock and ending in North Little Rock at William F. Laman Library, 2801 Orange Street. Following the race, a Library Card Sign-up Cool Down party will take place at Laman Plaza Runners and spectators are encouraged to dress up as their favorite book characters.

Trolley service will run from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. providing free rides between Laman Library and Main Library for anyone who has parked at the race start and needs transportation back to their vehicle. 

Pre-orders for shirts ends August 16. A limited number of shirts and registrations will be available the day of the event.

Packet Pick-Up Details:

September 11 - 13: 10 AM - 6 PM

For participants who registered after August 24, your packet pick-up will take place on the morning of the race, starting at 7:00 a.m. on September 14.

Race timing services will be provided by Agee Race Timing using their advanced RFID chip timing system. Chips will be attached to your shoes or each hip. Please be prepared to wear bib front facing on your torso area.  

Chip Instructions: 
For accurate timing and race results follow these instructions:

• Tags should hang freely off the outside of EACH shoe on shoelaces. They should not be tucked inside the shoe or under the laces.
• If shoes don’t untie, pin the plastic tags on the bottom edge of your shorts on each hip (on your side) below the shirt line.
• Before you leave the event please place both shoe tags in the plastic tub near the finish line so that we can recycle and reuse the shoe tags. 

All participants will receive a 3D printed medal featuring our Rock Paper Run 5k logo. 

Awards will be given to the top racer in the following age groups: 0-9; 10-14; 15-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70-79; and 80 and over. There will also be awards for top male and female racers.

Registration Guidelines:

1. There will be NO refunds for this race.
2. Entries are non-transferable.
3. Race Management reserves the right to cancel or modify the event due to unfavorable conditions.
4. Registration fees are not refundable in the event of cancellation due to "Acts of God."

Race Guidelines:

1. Headphones, iPods, and MP3 players are strongly discouraged during the race.
2. No pets are allowed on the course.
3. No littering, smoking, or consumption of alcohol permitted.
4. Unregistered runners are not allowed. Bandits will be disqualified from this and future races.
5. Numbers must be worn on the front and be clearly visible at all times.
6. For safety, runners who withdraw during the race must inform a race official or aid station volunteer.
7. No rollerblades, bicycles, or skate boards.
8. Baby joggers will be allowed but will start behind all runners and walkers.
