The 18th Annual Teal Power 5K Run & Charity Walk
Saturday, September 21, 2024
The Teal Power 5K Run and 3K Walk is a fun event for Ovarian Cancer Awareness hosted by the Ovarian Cancer Alliance of Greater Cincinnati honoring those touched by this disease. The event is open to men, women, and children of all ages, and of all experience levels. Some participants run or walk in honor or memory of someone, some are survivors, and some just enjoy getting out and supporting an awesome cause!
COURSE: Our event is at Summit Park, Blue Ash, OH. GPS coordinates: 39.250255, -84.386898 . Courses Start and Finish near the main stage and wind through Summit Park. See the course maps under the RACE INFO menu. Most of the course is paved, but there is one section that is a dirt trail.
SURVIVORS: If you are a survivor (any woman who has been diagnosed with ovarian or gynecological cancer), join us as our honorary guest. Your registration will be free. You must register to get a special T-shirt and gift. Gather for a special Survivor picture at 9:15am at the balloon arch and sign up for the free Survivor Raffle at the OCAGC booth!
HONOR SIGNS: Honor a loved one that has battled or is currently battling Ovarian Cancer. For a $30.00 donation we will place a sign recognizing the recipient along the course to encourage all the walkers and runners as we fight this disease together. Honor signs can be added to individual registrations or purchased through the STORE.
ACTIVITIES: Booths will open from 8:30am – 11:15am. We will have booths with ovarian cancer support information and vendors. There will also be raffles, an appearance by Rosie Red, music by Ursuline Academy, a Power Pets booth and other activities. Cash and credit card are accepted where needed.
RESERVE A VENDOR BOOTH: Share your information or products with our participants by having a booth at the event. In 2023, we had approximately 1,500 people at the park during our event. Vendors will have a festival type booth with boards on 3 sides, canopy roof, one table, and chairs. Reserve your booth at the RESERVE A VENDOR BOOTH Menu Tab.
POWER PARTNERS: The Teal Power Race and Walk recognizes and rewards participants who reach special fundraising milestones. These individuals are leading the way in the fight against ovarian cancer – and you can too!
TEAM PHOTOS: Dress in your favorite teal outfit, tutu, necklace, hat, etc.! Make a team sign! Bring your team spirit to the photo area by the balloon arch from 8:30am –10:00am.
TEAL POWER: Teal, the color of ovarian cancer, is admired but not required. By wearing teal you are showing your support for all the women and families that have been affected by ovarian cancer.

The Teal Power 5K Run and 3K Walk, a virtual 5K event, will take place on September 21, 2024, at Summit Park in Blue Ash, Ohio. While this description specifies a virtual component, the inclusion of a physical location suggests participants may choose to run or walk this distance either virtually from their own chosen location or in person at Summit Park. As an "Event Type 6," this indicates a potentially established event, though specific historical details are not provided. Participants can anticipate a community-focused event encouraging participation in either a 5K run or a 3K walk, with a focus on the color teal. Given the Summit Park location, the terrain is likely to be a combination of paved paths and potentially some grassy areas within the park, offering a relatively flat and accessible course suitable for a variety of fitness levels. Participants should prepare for typical September weather in Ohio, which can be varied but often pleasant for outdoor activity. The "Teal Power" theme suggests a possible connection to awareness or fundraising for a cause associated with the color teal, though the specific beneficiary is not detailed here. This event offers flexibility with its virtual option, allowing broader participation beyond the immediate Blue Ash area.
