Race The Helix - Greenwood Virtual 5K

Join us for the 13th annual Race the Helix-Greenwood race, inspired by one family's desire to raise awareness for genetic disorders and funding for genetic research! All proceeds benefit the Greenwood Genetic Center Foundation.

Event details:

• Saturday, September 21st, 2024 at 9:00 am - Greenwood Genetic Center

• 5K run or walk with Chip Timing (course can accommodate strollers and wheelchairs)

• 1-mile course for walkers, runners, strollers, and wheelchairs

• Pre-packaged snacks and water will be provided

• Online t-shirt sales have closed. There will be a very limited number of t-shirts available for sale on race day. First come, first served.

• Check-in and onsite registration - 8:00 am - 8:45 am on race morning

• Awards Divisions

  • Top overall male and female finishers

  • Top male and female in each age group category
    12 and under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+

• Packet/t-shirt pick up

  • Preordered Race the Helix t-shirts and 5K race bibs can be picked up at the race on Saturday morning beginning at 8:00 am.

  • Early pickup for preordered t-shirts and 5K race bibs is also available at the Greenwood Genetic Center (106 Gregor Mendel Circle) on Friday, October 6 between 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm.
