About this race
The 2024 FBI Jerry Dove Memorial 5K, is run in honor of the late Special Agent, Jerry Dove, who was killed in the line of duty in Miami Florida on April 11, 1986. Jerry was a native West Virginian and prior to his FBI career, Jerry was attached to the West Virginia State Police as an attorney advisor. The race is dedicated to the memory of SA Jerry Dove and all law enforcement, fire fighters, military personnel and others who were killed while serving in the line of duty. The race is sponsored by the Federal Bureau of Investigation Citizens Academy Alumni Association
