For more information, visit our website at www.SouthCoastRunningClub.org
Located roughly 20 miles south of Coos Bay, the region’s first single-track trail system is open year-round to mountain bikers, but for the first time ever will be reserved for those of us who shred at running pace.
We’ll start and finish at the main Whiskey Run Trailhead.
Our chosen section of Whiskey Run is shaded and sheltered, which means these trails are rolling, smooth, and oh so loamy.
Course options include:
· 1.5 Mile (Shirley Temple)
· 5 Mile (Whiskey Ginger)
· 10 Mile (Double Shot)
Please note that all courses are 100% trail, so not stroller friendly.

What to expect
Written from race dataThe Run Whiskey Run 10-mile Double Shot, set to take place on October 12, 2024, in Bandon, Oregon, is an established event known for its challenging and scenic course. While specific historical details are not provided, the "Double Shot" in its title suggests a race with a unique format or a history of offering distinct experiences to participants, possibly involving two segments or a particularly robust offering. Runners can anticipate a demanding 10-mile route designed to showcase the rugged beauty of the Oregon Coast. Participants should prepare for varied terrain typical of the Bandon coastline, likely including sandy beaches, potentially some paved sections, and possibly forest trails. The coastal environment often means unpredictable weather, so runners should be ready for elements such as wind, mist, and cooler temperatures, even in October. The "Whiskey Run" name hints at a potential post-race celebration or theme, adding a fun, community-focused element to the event that runners might look forward to after conquering the miles.
